Hi, I'm John Green (here with my beautiful wife, Kari) and we live in Spokane Washington, USA. I began
wood turning in high school where one of my first projects was a lamp in Black Walnut with Oak tear drop accents. Since then, I have been fascinated with the beauty that lathing can create.
I enjoy turning because it allows
me to express my creativity and wood working skill in a truly unique way.
Some of the wood I turn comes from my own property, family and friends. To
create truly unique pieces I like to incorporate materials from exotic locations throughout the world.
I have a successful career in computer software, but most of my personal time to pursue my wood turning passion. When I am not at work or wood turning, I can
be found gardening, fishing and spending time with my wife and two dogs. We
have one daughter, Karli, who is busy venturing out into the world to become a cosmetologist.
